Waste disposal will only break up soft debris. Things like bones, coffee grinds, egg shells or any hard product will wear the blades and jam the disposal. You should always run water to the disposal to help break down the food to help it through the drain. If your waste master stops for any reason we recommend trying to either push the reset buttons under the unit or test the electrician port to ensure there is power still going to the unit.
Still having problems call Matthews Plumbing and Gasfitting.

A plunger can be used to help unblock drains. Please be careful if you use Drain cleaners as they are very toxic - have a look on the back of the product you will notice the warning labels. These toxic chemicals can be very bad for your pipes, causing them to deteriorate from the inside out. If this happens your drains will need to be replaced.
If you have a clogged drain, please call us at Matthews Plumbing and Gasfitting Limited.

Sometimes this is a cross over of Electrician or Plumber/Gasfitter – eg: If you have water coming out of the hot taps but it is cold, this can indicate:
ELECTRIC Hot Water Cylinder: Could be as easy as an old “Ripple Relay” More information on Vector. Or a blown element? a faulty thermostat?
LPG: either run out of LPG or no power to the unit. If this is after a power cut, you may need to reset an instantaneous hot water system by switching the power off and on again. The instantaneous gas hot water system should then go through a reset programme and be ready to use again in a few minutes.
Either way Matthews Plumbing and Gasfitting can help.

In most cases it is the outlet valve washer which can blister or perish. If that is the case, it will need to be replaced as the toilet will carry on filling and intime wear out the inlet valve also. Call Matthews Plumbing and Gasfitting for any toilet issues.
